This has been a great opportunity to expand our reach and allow people the opportunity to know that SARDAA is here to provide support, education and direction to resources. People have been excited to see an organization that serves specifically people affected by schizophrenia-related disorders. People stopped by and cried because of their lived experience as a parent. People living with a diagnosis of schizophrenia stopped by and gave a “gift” such an origami bird or a ball cap from their exhibit in gratitude for the existence of SARDAA. Guests from last year’s SARDAA conference stopped by and expressed how grateful they were for the amazing conference and plan to attend again this year. People were interested in starting an SA group in their area. Parents were interested in FFS. Drs. Fred and Penny Frese gave us a hug. We’ve enjoyed opportunities to collaborate with other stakeholders and share exhibit and sponsorship opportunities for our conference.

Our booth was directly across from Treatment Advocacy Center (TAC), one of our great allies and resources. Please visit our website homepage for their new app for finding resources during a crisis.

Sorry you all couldn’t be there to experience this great conference and the gratitude expressed by so many for the existence of SARDAA.

Both invigorated and exhausted,

Linda
